GVIS is recognised by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh under two certificates issued by the Office of the District Basic Education Officer, Gautam Buddha Nagar: Recognition No. 11833-35 (dated 29 August 2026) for Primary classes I–V, and Recognition No. G.J.H.S-637 (dated 21 August 2026) for Upper Primary classes VI–VIII. Together these cover the school's full range from Pre-Primary through Class VIII.
Golden Valley International School was established to give families in Roza Jalalpur and the surrounding Greater Noida (West) area a nearby school built around discipline, academics and everyday student activity.
